Finding a good place to put our kids up to 10 hours a day is hard. 

Finding a good place to put our kids up to 10 hours a day, in Taiwan, is nearly impossible.   

Maybe I am too harsh, but in reality, the system is not perfect.    When I returned to Taiwan in 2014, I came with BaoBao 3.5 years old and DiDi just 2.   I had been with them for two years and honestly, it was time for me to go back to work.   Have you ever heard that your brain can rust away from lack of use?  I am a living testimony.   

I spent a whole month visiting so many different schools and I simply didn't know where to go.  

Some basic requirements: 

1.  Clean   

2.  Good character training

3.  Good food

4.  Actually learning something from school 

5.  Available space to run, jump, do whatever they need to use up their energy  

6.  Economical 

Some places I looked into and seriously evaluated.    Details of my evaluation will follow and reasons for my eventual choice will also be explained.    

1.  By the train station:  Taiyuan, Guo Shu Hui (郭淑惠幼稚園),   Harvard 

2.  By the food street:  Weige   (薇格幼兒園) ,  Tiansheng, Tianyun

3.  By Carrefour:  Kiwi, Stanford

4.  By Zhudong:  Erchong Catholic, ITRI Zhudong and Guangming Campus  

5.  By Hsinchu:  Angel Preschool
